The Marina Youth Soccer Association and Athletic Dept of CSU Monterey Bay are partnering to bring quality youth soccer camps to the Monterey region. As part of a growing collaboration between MYSA and CSUMB, MYSA will be promoting CSUMB boys and girls soccer camps during the summer and fall. MYSA is working with Catalyst Soccer to sponsor the 2010 World Cup Summer Camp at Glorya Jean Tate Park July 26-30th. Boys and girls ages 4-6 ($75) and 6-14 ($125) for half-day starting at 9 am. There will also be a free clinic for all MYSA coaches from 11:30 am to 1 pm on Saturday July 31. For camp registration use this flyer.

MYSA, in conjunction with the Monterey County Futbol Club, will be developing spring recreational and competitive soccer programs in 2010.  These programs will provide additional opportunities for MYSA players to develop their soccer skills, and will strengthen the soccer culture in the City of Marina.

MYSA was awarded Volunteer Organization of the Year at the 2009 City of Marina Volunteer appreciation ceremony held at the American Legion.  This is the first time that a sports organization has won the award and the MYSA thanks the City of Marina and our numerous supporters for this recognition.

MYSA parents will not be required to do volunteer services during 2009 season. However, parents may earn a registration discount if they volunteer time in the MYSA snack bar.

The City of Marina will continue to support fireworks sales within the city limits and MYSA has again signed a contract with TNT Fireworks and Walmart to sell fireworks in the Walmart parking lot in 2009.  This is our major fundraiser for the year and our first big kickoff for player registration! Thanks to the City of Marina for their support!
